Meet Your Therapist
Veronica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Maryland and Virginia. She’ also a Veteran officer (Captain) of the United States Air Force. Veronica has a strong interest in helping individuals and communities to recover from trauma and traumatic experiences.
Veronica completed both her undergraduate studies and Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus. She majored in Psychology and Community Organization. Upon completing her master’s degree, Veronica worked as the Executive Director of the Samaritan Community Development Center (SCDC), a faith-based nonprofit organization located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This experience solidified her commitment to empowering faith-based groups and local community organizations to better meet the emotional and mental health needs of those in their congregations and in the surrounding communities.
Most recently, Veronica was a full-time Grant Program Specialist in the Department of Justice Office Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) in Washington, D.C. As a Grant Program Specialist, she managed grants and cooperative agreements for the Transitional Housing Program (THP) and the Culturally Specific Services Program (CSSP). Prior to joining OVW, Veronica served as an active-duty clinical social worker with the U.S. Air Force and then as a clinical social worker with the Veteran’s Health Administration.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist and substance abuse treatment counselor. I have worked with clients having a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I provide therapy from a holistic and client-centered approach. In addition, I'm also a Christian counselor who is experienced with integrating faith, Biblical principles, and practical counseling methods to aid in the recovery process.

I have served my local church as a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel and as Connections Pastor. I strongly believe in demonstrating God’s love both in word and deed. As the Executive Director/Program Manager for the Samaritan Community Development Corporation (SCDC), I co-labored with staff and board members to extend God’s grace to the local community. The following insurance carriers are accepted for Individual/Virtual Therapy sessions. Veronica also offers a sliding scale fee.
For Faith-Based Training & Consulting Services, the rate is $125/hour. Veronica offers a reduced rate for non-profit organizations.
